As the school year begins, my oldest son and his girlfriend are feeling quite overwhelmed. To help them unwind, I thought it would be nice to treat them to a dinner at Applebee’s for a “Best Date Ever” experience.
Initially, I planned to provide a brief summary of their meal, but my son surprised me with a brief review of his own!
The service was exceptional! The host greeted us warmly and made us feel right at home. Our server, Alex, was very friendly and ensured we were comfortable. Aly and I started with the appetizer menu and immediately gravitated towards the spinach artichoke dip.
The dip arrived piping hot and was just as delectable as it appeared.
Aly chose the new maple bacon chicken piadini, while I opted for the Butcher’s Reserve 12 oz. sirloin steak, cooked medium rare, accompanied by garlic green beans and classic fries. Although our meals took a bit longer to arrive, they were absolutely worth the wait; both dishes were incredibly flavorful.
The fries were perfectly crispy, and the steak was cooked to perfection, exactly as I had requested. Aly found her meal very satisfying and fulfilling.
When Alex inquired if we would like dessert, we hesitated, but then I spotted the churro s’mores. They were so delightful that we ended up finishing the whole plate, despite feeling quite full already. To wrap up our fantastic experience, the friendly host held the door open and invited us to return again. Overall, it was an outstanding outing!
Before ending our conversation that night, my son expressed his gratitude again, mentioning they had enjoyed one of the best nights in a long time. Applebee’s truly provided them with a “Best Date Ever” experience.

I love Applebee’s! Their food is delicious, and I want to go back for lunch on Monday. The burger and fries combo is only $5.99! So yummy!
Applebee’s is a favorite of ours due to its quick service, tasty food, and affordable prices. I can’t wait to stop by with my partner soon!
