Easter Bunny Trail Mix
For those who have been following along, you probably already know that my family adores popcorn. With some Wilton melting chocolates left over from previous projects, I decided to create a festive batch of Easter Bunny Trail Mix.

THE FOLLOWING INGREDIENTS ARE REQUIRED:
* Wilton melting chocolates (single color or a variety)
* freshly popped popcorn
* pretzels
* chocolate bits (like M&Ms or similar)
* peanuts
* wax paper
Feel free to adjust the quantities as you like—there’s no wrong way to make this mix!
INSTRUCTIONS:
Start by preparing your popcorn if it’s fresh, allowing it to cool for a few moments. I went through mine to ensure there were minimal unpopped kernels.
If you’re using different colors of chocolate, be sure to create a separate bowl for each kind of popcorn. I had three bowls since I opted for three distinct colors.
Next, take some pretzels and break them into small pieces with your hands before adding them in.
Add a handful or two of peanuts.
Incorporate your chocolate candies (we went with M&Ms, but you can choose any chocolate treat).
Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, heating for 30 seconds intervals. Stir and continue until fully melted.
Drizzle a bit of melted chocolate over the popcorn mixture, tossing gently to coat. Add more chocolate until you reach your preferred level of coverage. (We aim for a light coating to avoid overwhelming the mix with sweetness.)
Spread the mixture onto wax paper and allow it to cool completely.
Our creation features lovely shades of pink, blue, and orange.

Do you enjoy a sweet and salty blend? What other ingredients would you consider adding?

I’m not into sweets, so I wouldn’t prepare this for myself. It looks beautiful, though, and would make a lovely gift for a friend!

This looks beautiful! Unfortunately, I don’t have little ones at home anymore, and I’m trying to steer clear of sweets as much as possible. Plus, I don’t think my husband would enjoy candy covered popcorn! lol

This definitely looks delicious! It reminds me of candy popcorn 😁 I love it, though I don’t indulge often because it’s quite calorie-dense, haha. Thanks for the share, @tisonlyme143.

This is exciting with the assortment of colors and treats. I’d prefer to keep the chocolate light since I’m more inclined towards savory flavors.
