Candy canes are a holiday staple, adorning Christmas trees each year throughout my childhood. Traditionally, they end up discarded after the festive season. However, this year we will celebrate National Candy Cane Day with a delightful treat: Candy Cane Fudge!

Candy Cane Fudge

Ingredients
- Five Minute Candy Cane Fudge
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ cup evaporated milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 cups mini marshmallows
- 1½ cups chocolate chips
- 1¼ teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 crushed candy canes
Instructions
- Prepare an 8×8 baking pan by greasing it.
- In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, salt, butter, and evaporated milk; bring to a boil.
- Keep boiling while stirring continuously for 3-4 minutes.
- Take off the heat.
- Incorporate the chocolate chips, marshmallows, and vanilla extract, mixing thoroughly.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan.
- Top with crushed candy canes, pressing them down lightly.
- Refrigerate until firm.
- Slice into squares.
