For my dog, the highlight of the week is certainly dog park day. It’s when our entire family jumps in the car, bringing some extra tennis balls to share with fellow pups, headed to our nearby park. Dog parks are unique spaces where dogs and their owners can form connections and engage with their community. Through our regular visits, we’ve not only met several human friends outside the park but have also noticed a significant improvement in our dog’s social skills.

However, not every dog park offers the same experience. Numerous towns and smaller communities lack the necessary funds to create them. Fortunately, Beneful has acknowledged this issue and, over the last five years, has actively participated in building and enhancing dog parks nationwide.

The Beneful Dream Dog Park Project started as a competition, with the Beneful team visiting one winning community annually to revamp its dog park. The initiative has since expanded, bringing greater joy to communities across the nation.

This year, the aim is to assist a total of 12 parks through donations, volunteer days, and more. Additionally, Beneful has teamed up with GoFundMe to further their mission. This collaboration allows dog park organizers to start campaigns aimed at raising awareness and funds for park improvements or establishing new parks entirely. Each month, Beneful will highlight a different GoFundMe dog park campaign.
