Easy Christmas Candy Cane Fudge



Candy canes are a holiday staple, adorning Christmas trees each year throughout my childhood. Traditionally, they end up discarded after the festive season. However, this year we will celebrate National Candy Cane Day with a delightful treat: Candy Cane Fudge!
In under five minutes, you can whip up this fudge recipe, perfect for utilizing those leftover candy canes!

Ingredients
  • Five Minute Candy Cane Fudge
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup evaporated milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1½ cups chocolate chips
  • 1¼ teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 crushed candy canes
Instructions
  1. Prepare an 8×8 baking pan by greasing it.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, salt, butter, and evaporated milk; bring to a boil.
  3. Keep boiling while stirring continuously for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Take off the heat.
  5. Incorporate the chocolate chips, marshmallows, and vanilla extract, mixing thoroughly.
  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan.
  7. Top with crushed candy canes, pressing them down lightly.
  8. Refrigerate until firm.
  9. Slice into squares.
